MIRACLE KIDS PROFILE: Daisy Irwin From Sooke

It’s hard to imagine that babies can even develop cancer. Unfortunately, while rare, it does happen. Daisy Irwin is just one example.

At only 10 weeks old, Daisy was diagnosed with a rare combination of ALL and AML leukemia. With a notoriously difficult cancer to treat, Daisy was sent to BC Children’s Hospital to begin chemotherapy immediately. The treatment was incredibly hard on her body and she spent an entire month on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit following her first round of chemo. Continue Reading…
