Getting The Entire Office Behind Making Every Grind Count

Grant Wilburn is determined to reach his goals and he has an entire office behind him! We chatted with him last week and here’s what he had to say!

1. Why did you sign-up for Grind For Kids?

I purchase a Grind timer every year and this year it just so happens that you can raise money while challenging yourself! It’s a great idea and I hope that it continues every year.

2. Why do you do the Grouse Grind?

It’s a challenge and it keeps you fit.

3. What motivates you to get to the top?

My watch and my ipod.

4. How many Grouse Grinds are aiming to do?

Originally it was 35 but I think I will make it to 50.

5. Why are you raising money for Grind For Kids?

I have two friends that are nurses at BC Children’s Hospital so I hear stories. I think we are lucky to have such an amazing hospital that specializes in caring for sick children; however, I think that there is always room for improvement and a need for more research, programs, equipment purchases etc. My goal is to raise $1,500 and I am almost at $1000!

6. Other then soliciting pledges from family and friends are you planning on doing any other fundraising activity?

I use facebook mostly to spread the word. I usually re-post to my profile once a week with updates. My office has been a huge supporter of my fund raising as well. I recently asked if anyone would be in for a $20 donation if I went sub 33 minutes on the Grind. I have several people on board so far….I just have to do it now!! My PB is just over 33 minutes which was 3 years ago. My fastest time for 2010 so far is 34:57. Click here for other quick and easy fundraising tips!
