Is there a cost to register for Grind For Kids?
There is a $20 registration fee. That gets you a Grind For Kids Official Timer so you can track your progress real time. Also with your registration, enjoy complimentary bag-check service, which means your bag will be waiting for you at the top when you finish the Grind!

How do I register for Grind for Kids?
Just click here and sign up in three easy steps! Registration is preferred online.

Can I register a team?
If you are part of a school, sports team or company joining together to do the Grind and raise money for BC Children’s then let us know when you register. Everyone registers as an individual but we want to know who is doing this as a group!

How do I track the number of Grouse Grinds I complete?
Simply swipe your Grind For Kids Timer it at the base of the Grind before you start and at the top when you finish. You can go to your personal donation page to track your progress at any time!

Also, you get to enjoy a complimentary bag-check service, which means your bag will be waiting for you at the top when you finish the Grind!!

Is there a minimum I need to raise?
There is no minimum, but we hope that everyone will set a minimum fundraising goal of $50. Remember that every dollar raised supports BC Children’s Hospital!

Is there a minimum number of Grouse Grinds I need to do?
There is no minimum, but the more do the more money you raise!

When does event begin and end?
Grind For Kids runs from when the Grouse Grind officially opens to the end of October.

Where does the money that I fundraise go?
All the money raised from Grind For Kids supports the Cardiology department being built at the new BC Children’s Hospital!

How do I win a prize?
There are weekly and grand prizes to be won! The more Grinds you do the better your odds of winning! Click here to see what is up for grabs.

If I win a prize where do I pick it up?
Prizes will be available for pick up from the Outfitters Store located in the Grouse Mountain chalet. Winners will be notified by email.

What happens if the Grind Timer scanner is not working?
In the rare instance that the Grind Timer scanner is not working due to electrical or technical issues, there will be a sign placed on the scanner. All you will need to do is manually track your time. When you are back at the base, visit Guest Services who will enter your time into the system.

Where and when do I pick-up my Official Grind For Kids Timer?
You can pick up your Official Grinds For Kids Timer from Grouse Mountain Guest Services seven days a week from 8am to 8pm. When you register online you will receive a registration number that you need to bring with you. Please allow 24 hours for processing before picking up your Official Grind For Kids Timer.

What happens when you fundraise $1000 or more?
When you reach any of the fundraising milestones below you’ll receive a limited edition Grind For Kids shirt!
